Gas-burning sauna stove Taimyr XXL 2017 Inox is a modification of a new model of the series Taimyr 2017 designed to burn natural or liquefied gas.
Taimyr XXL 2017 Inox has the same operating principle as Taimyr 2017. The models differ in dimensions, firebox volume, sauna heater, power, and recommended size of the steam room. Taimyr XXL 2017 Inox is designed for steam rooms of 12–24 m3.
The height of the firing chamber is reduced in the new stove the same way as in Taimyr 2017 model. A smaller firing chamber, in its turn, allowed us to significantly increase the volume of the closed sauna heater without significant increasing the stove’s overall dimensions. The stove Taimyr XXL 2017 increased in size only for 15 cm.
Besides, we also managed to optimise the shape and location of the sauna heater taking into account the location of the heating source (gas burner). The sauna heater is installed along the full depth of the firebox now that, in its turn, ensures its efficient and uniform heating.
A special screen protects the firebox bottom and prevents redness of the stove base.
It should also be noted that the stove was designed for the “Russian Banya” steaming mode. In this viewpoint, its main advantage is a capability to maintain a stable mild temperature of about 60°C without overheating and a relative humidity at the level of 60% in the steam room that is a classical feature of Russian banyas.
Although it is obvious that this stove is hardly the fastest in steam room heating, Additional time definitely worth its capability to maintain stable humidity of 60% at 60–65°C.
The Taimyr XXL 2017 gas-burning stove employs the same two-stage steam generation patented technology as we used in all Geyzer wood-burning stoves, which have been keeping the leading position among all TMF sauna stoves for the last several years. The stove has two sauna heaters—an internal closed heater, which is evenly heated by heat emission and gas-flame flow convection from all sides, and an external opened one. Water is supplied through a funnel with a non-return valve to the closed heater where it is evaporated. However, rather than being directly supplied to the steam room, the steam is taken to the opened heater at a high speed, overheated there, and only then supplied to the steam room.
The fill funnel construction has a butterfly-type valve, which lets a dose of water quickly pass to the primary sauna heater and then closes even faster than opens. This reduces the amount of steam escaping in the valve area virtually to zero, and all the supplied water fully turns to soft steam. The stones of the opened sauna heater are very convenient to prepare the bath besom and to evaporate essential oils.
Taimyr XXL 2017 has the upper part of the external heating case decorated with a wavy metal grill, which makes the large construction more aesthetically pleasant and elegant.
As it was mentioned before, reduction of firing chamber height allowed us to significantly increase — up to 47 litres — the volume of the closed heater for one-and-a-half times.
The new stove has a smaller firing chamber than the previous version that allowed us to significantly increase—up to 30 litres—the volume of the closed heater. Thanks to the larger closed heater, which accumulates heat for steam generation, the stove easily maintains a relative humidity of 60% at 60–65°C—not every gas- or wood-burning metal stove can do this.
Construction of the new stove is designed to apply the maximum heat from the burning gas to the sauna heater, while moderately heating the stove’s walls. This results in minimum heat emission from the stove walls. Thus, even when the stove is operating at its maximum capacity, you feel comfortable sitting next to it.
As well as in other TMF gas-burning stoves, the controls of gas burners and gas automated mechanisms are covered with a stylish and ergonomic glass screen.
The model is available in two colours — anthracite and terracotta.
The stove is designed to burn natural or liquefied gas. We recommend 40 kW Triad gas burners. You can also use gas burners of other brands as soon as they meet the requirements to power and dimensions.
The stove is designed for people in fond of Russian banya, who live in regions, where gas is supplied.
