Optimus Gas 20

Optimus Gas multi-fuel hot-water boiler series is the improved and redesigned model of Pragmatik Gas boilers. Optimus Gas boilers are designed for water heating of single-family houses and utility buildings equipped with water heating systems with natural and forced circulation of a heat-transfer agent under operating pressure of 0.3 mPa (3 kg/cm²). The boiler is able to heat multi-storey building with premises of irregular shape.

Design of the new boiler is based on Optimus solid fuel boiler which was recently included into series. New boiler has the same dimensions and specifications. Thickness of the flue channel of the new model is 6 mm and thickness of the water jacket's walls is 3mm same as Optimus model.This protects the boiler’s case from deformation under increased pressure. Moreover, this protects the boiler’s case from deformation caused by wear, maintains air-tightness of the welded joints, protecting it from leakage, which extends boiler’s period of operation. Furthermore, prior to release, each TMF’s boiler is put through the hydraulic-pressure test to estimate its air-tightness and durability of the welded joints providing high quality and reliability of all the goods.

The main difference between the new model and solid fuel Optimus is that it allows to use not only chopped wood and coal as a fuel, but also gas.In order to operate on gas, it is required to install a special construction of the gas-burning device (GBD) called Sakhalin-3 with a proper capacity which is included into the delivery package. The gas burner is easily mounted to the firebox bottom door. The gas-burning device is based on automated devices manufactured by SIT Group, an Italian group company, which is a well-known leader in gas equipment manufacture. To switch the device to another type of gas, change the nozzles (included into the delivery package).Do not use third-party gas-burning devices to burn natural or liquefied gas in the boiler.

Do not use other types of solid fuel during operation of the gas-burning device. If you would like to use wood or coal, dismount the gas burner as described in regulatory documents. All works on assembly, gas-burning device installation, and connection to gas pipeline or gasification system should be performed by qualified gas service personnel.

Product line consists of one model at the moment: 20 kW capacity for heating of premises with maximum area of 180 m², where a wall is 2.7 m high. It is completed with Sakhalin-3 GBD with a capacity of 20 kW. Optimus Gas series is to be extended by capacity in the nearest future. Information about this will be send in an additional letter of information. It is planned that the improved Optimus Gas will replace its predecessor - Pragmatik Gas.

The model is available in Light, Automatic, and Electro modifications. All the modifications of the Optimus Gas 20 boiler use the same fuel and have the same design and specifications. The boilers differ by the delivery package and price.

Optimus Gas 20 Light is the most affordable model suitable for installation of the automated draught controller to control the temperature of heat-transfer agent and the heating coils that should be purchased separately. The Automatic and Electro modifications have the automated draught controller with temperature control for the heat-transfer agent included into the delivery package. Electro is the fullest modification of the boiler delivered with the automated draught controller to control the temperature of heat-transfer agent and the heating coils set of 6 kW capacity.

The boiler’s case colour is agate grey.

If you would like to install the heating coils by yourself, we recommend you to use certified equipment. Installation of suitable heating coils manufactured by third-party is also technically possible to heat the heat-transfer agent in the heating systems. The total capacity of the heating coils should not exceed the values recommended by the manufacturer in order to maintain normal operation of the boiler.
